PRE-INSULATED PIPES AND FITTINGS

APPLICATION in rooms and underground workings classified as “a”, “b”, “c” of methane explosion hazard and “A” or “B” class of coal dust explosion hazard.

RANGE from DN42.4 to DN508 mm – ST-PU-PE pipes from DN88.9 to DN508 mm – PE-ST-PU-PE pipes pressure up to PN 160

PE-ST-PU-PE and ST-PU-PE pipes are intended for the construction of air-conditioning and technological installations in mining plants. The pipes can be used in underground workings of mining plants and in installations on mining surfaces.

APPLICATIONS:

  • water,
  • chilled water and warm brine,
  • other water solutions (only for PE-ST-PU-PE pipes)
  • chemically aggressive liquids (only for PE-ST-PU-PE pipes)

APPLICATION PARAMETERS:

  • pressure up to PN 160
  • temperature from -20˚C to + 60˚C (PE-ST-PU-PE) and from -20˚C to + 130˚C (ST-PU-PE)

PIPE JOINING METHODS:

  • Victaulic System couplings
  • flange connections
  • welding

ADVANTAGES OF PE-ST-PU-PE AND ST-PU-PE PIPES:

  • very good thermal insulation (better than pipes with SPIRO outer jacket)
  • no thermal bridges at the connections (for the version with connection insulation)
  • no corrosion of the outer casing pipe

ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES OF PE-ST-PU-PE PIPES:

  • high smoothness of the inner surface of the polyethylene pipe reduces flow resistance
  • high abrasion resistance under the action of liquids containing solid suspensions
  • high chemical resistance to most substances present in the transported media
  • no overgrowth with sediment – hydraulic parameters unchanged over time
  • no corrosion of the service pipe
  • very good insulation – low thermal conductivity
  • extended service life in relation to steel pipes
