Depending on the applied technical solutions of the freezing system, modified polyethylene pipes with diameters DN10, DN16, DN20, DN25, DN32 mm, resistant to the cooling medium, are manufactured. The cooling factor in the above-mentioned installations is a mixture of glycol and water of various concentrations. The operating range of the installation is within the medium temperature range from -20 ° C to + 23 ° C. There are two types of pipes: single-layer and two-layer pipes with an outer white layer. The freezing installations of the seasonal ice rink, made of a double-layer pipe, freeze the plate faster. The basic method of connecting pipes and fittings is polyfusion welding. The range of fittings necessary for the execution of the freezing system includes: tees, elbows, muffs, threaded transition fittings. Pipes are most often produced in coils with a length agreed with the customer. At the customer’s request, a non-standard pipe can be made in terms of diameter, wall thickness or coil length, after prior consultation with ELPLAST +. The pipe rings are 100% leak-tested.
Elplast + pipes made of modified polyethylene resistant to glycol are also recommended for use in heat pump installations, both for vertical boreholes and for horizontal probes. SDR 11 pipes are the most commonly used for this purpose,
with a diameter of DN32 and DN40 mm.
