PE PIPES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ARTIFICIAL SWOMAKING INSTALLATION

ELPLAST + produces pipes and fittings made of modified polyethylene for the construction of artificial snowmaking installations. Pipes are available in four basic pressure groups:

  • PN 20/25
  • PN 25/32
  • PN 32/40
  • over PN 40 – manufactured as galvanized steel pipes with polyethylene lining.

The range of diameters of the pipes produced is in the range from DN40 to DN400 mm.
The system includes fittings necessary for the construction of the installation:

  • tees, including hydrant tees for connecting hydrants
  • bends to change the direction of the pipeline
  • flange connections for connection to the pump or fittings
  • thread transitions for connection to metal parts

System components can be butt-welded with a welding machine, electrofusion couplings or Victaulic compression fittings. Pipes from DN40 to DN110 are produced in coils, and from DN75 to DN400 in straight sections, 6 or 12 m long, depending on the arrangements with the customer.

Advantages of PE pipes in artificial snowmaking installations:

  • simple assembly
  • low unit weight
  • low installation cost
  • flexibility of the pipes, which allows for easy installation of the system, often without the use of elbows
  • completely resistant to corrosion and stray currents
