Armoured pipes PE 100-RC

The armoured pipes are designed for pipelines that are constructed using traditional excavation technologies and trenching methods in native soil with neither sand bedding nor haunching, no-dig technologies (e.g. guided boring or moling) and for pipelines used in specific site conditions, including ground-based pipelines. The armoured pipes can also be used for ‘no-dig’ replacement of worn pipes and for rehabilitation of pipelines using close-fit or loose-fit lining (e.g. pipe cracking, relining, slip-lining or pipe bursting).

We manufacture pipes designed for supply systems and water-pipe networks, pressure and non-pressure stormwater drainage and sewerage systems, gravity pipelines and industrial piping systems.

Advantages

MONO SPECJAL armoured pipe:

  • a pressure pipe is protected against damage during transportation, storing, handling and laying of a pipeline in both trenchless technology and excavation technology
  • both rapid and slow crack propagation phenomena are almost completely eliminated
  • scratches, cuts or point loads are not directly transmitted to the internal pressure pipe
  • high resistance to scratching, cutting and load points
  • high stress crack resistance (FNCT, ACT)
  • the pipes are in accordance with the PAS 1075 requirements
  • no need to use sand bedding and haunching while laying the pipes in subsoils
  • usage of traditional methods of joining: butt-welding, electrofusion welding and compression fittings

SPECJAL and DUO SPECJAL armoured pipe:

  • the inner pipe is additionally protected against damage during transportation, storing, handling and laying of a pipeline in both trenchless technology and excavation technology
  • double protection against rapid and slow crack propagation
  • in SPECJAL and DUO SPECJAL pipes scratches, cuts or point loads are not directly transmitted to the internal pressure pipe
  • extra resistance to scratching, cutting and load points
  • extra stress crack resistance (FNCT, ACT)
  • extra resistance due to the protection armor – excellent long term mechanical properties (CLT)
  • the pipes are in accordance with the PAS 1075 requirements
  • no need to use sand bedding and haunching while laying the pipes in subsoils
  • possibility of butt-welding (without removal of the protection armour)
  • possibility of electrofusion welding and using compression fittings (after previous removal of the protection armour)
  • possibility of using typical fittings for butt-welding and electrofusion welding
  • possibility of producing segmented fittings using SPECJAL and DUO SPECJAL pipes
  • both the inner pipe and the protection armour are fully weldable
  • possibility of joining with other pipes and fittings made of polyethylene
  • possibility of using a detectable tape (made of steel, copper or aluminium) between the protection armour and the inner pipe what enables localization of the pipeline after horizontal directional drilling, crack-lining or other method of lining has been carried out
